Though working in the computer labs is not hospitality related, it has had a huge impact on me as a professional. At this position, I have picked up many office and technology skills. It aquainted me with making and answering professional phone calls, fitting work into a busy school schedule, and being the face behind a desk that any student is comfortable coming to with questions. I believe it has improved my customer service skills overall, in addition to getting me more comfortable with printers, scanners, and computers. This technology is relevant in any workplace, and my troubleshooting skills set the groundwork for the tech savvy mind set that I have today.
