Fusion Events:

On October 25th, 2015, JMU had the pleasure of hosting ESPN's College Game Day. This event not only raised student spirit to an unreal level, but also attracted many sponsors to advertise their product in the midst of all the cheering fans. I took this opportunity to broaden my horizons, and applied to work for Fusion Events and their client Ignition as an "Ignitor" for Kellogs Cheezit. As the characteristics they were looking for were "very enthusiastic and outgoing," I thought I would be a good fit for the job. It was also a once in a lifetime chance to work College Game Day. From 6am to 1pm, I handed out samples, played games with customers, and set up and broke down our booth. Though it was just one day, it taught me a lot about marketing and how important staff is at events like these because of their ability to boost the companys reputation.
